fresh food filled getaway

inside Gold Coast

Reminiscent of a balmy Balinese oasis Greendays, formerly Evergreen in Bundall, is a bright airy space filled with (surprise) greenery serving breakfast, lunch, decadent cakes and of course, cocktails.

Since December, Greendays has proved extremely popular due to its abundant gardens, flowing water features and open, softly lit design.

The pavilion-style building is the perfect setting for a leisurely brunch or late lunch and the extensive menu allows you to keep coming back for more.

For breakfast try Smashed Peas and Eggs with beetroot puree and Persian fetta or a Mushroom Toastie with thyme roasted Portobello mushrooms, Taleggio (cheese), onion jam and spinach.

Stay on for lunch to try the Chicken and Pork Terrine with prunes and pistachios, house pickles and croutes or perhaps a good old fashioned sandwich is more your thing, The Rueben is a house favourite. Made with corned beef, house kraut, cheddar and Dijon, it’s all the flavours of your childhood but better than you remember.

For something smaller, the Tart Tatin with blistered tomatoes, apple molasses and Persian fetta is light, flavoursome and made even better with a bright, bubbly Aperol Spritz by its side.

Greendays’ famous cakes are a must-try, flavours change daily but each one is beautiful and the perfect accompaniment to your mid-morning coffee.

Visit Greendays for a mini, fresh food filled getaway unlike anything else you’ll find on the Gold Coast.
